Wash Your Boat at the Municipality City Hall!

“Aquatic invasive species can cling to watercraft and gear, or be transported in standing water to new bodies of water. You can protect our lakes and rivers from aquatic invasive species by ensuring you clean, drain and dry your watercraft and gear.”
Canadian Council on Invasive Species

Navigate + Save our Biodiversity

The presence of invasive species, weeds, garbage and boat pollution reduces water quality and hinders aquatic biodiversity.

What can you do?

  • Wash your boat, motor, trailer and empty your ballast bags before launching.

  • Use biodegradable, phosphate-free soaps and cleaners.

  • Stay clear of milfoil grass-beds…milfoil spreads with cuttings.

  • Keep your garbage on the boat and dispose later at home.
